We are the largest RV Association with members worldwide. In Minnesota, there are 50 local camping chapters with new chapters being formed each year throughout the state.
During the camping season, chapters normally meet once a month and activities vary. Most chapters camp on week-ends; however, some also camp during the week. Members often share a potluck meal, have a campfire, play games, tour local places of interest, have activities for children and grandchildren or just sit around and enjoy each others company. In addition to local charities, Good Sam members support the Minnesota Hearing and Service Dogs. Chapters often hold fund raising events for their charities.
During the winter months, most chapters hold informal social meetings at a local restaurant or at a members home.
Each year the Minnesota Good Sam members and chapters gather for two rallies called samborees which are held in May and August These are held in various locations around the state. They are four day events and bring together hundreds of families from Minnesota and surrounding states. Those attending enjoy many special events including live entertainment, food, craft shows, contests, games, seminars, service with our own choir.
WHY JOIN A CHAPTER
Campouts and chapter get-togethers provide you with the opportunity to be a part of Minnesota's RV Camping Experience. This creates lasting friendships and new memories for you and your family. At least once a month, during the family camping season, they share good, wholesome outdoor fun and fellowship. Chapter members gather as an extended family to perform community projects such as highway clean-up or support for a local charity. Come out and become part of a Minnesota Good Sam Chapter!
