| Dear Good Sam Members: Due to the serious illness and resignation of our new State Director, Gene Mehling (Sheila), Good Sam International is holding a special election. Marilyn & I have decided to run for the position of MN State Director. We are Good Sam LIFE members, and have been involved with Good Sam at a Chapter level for 19 yrs. I have held the office of President, VP, and board member. I worked for the Potlatch Corp. for 42 years as laborer and spare foreman. I have been retired for 5 years now. Marilyn & I have 4 children: one daughter lives in Cloquet, another daughter lives in Mira Loma, CA, one son lives in Henderson, NV and our son, John, who is handicapped - lives and travels with us. As Assistant State Directors, I (Damian) am presently Vendor Chairman, and Marilyn is the Good Sam Store Manager: we, also, held these positions in the previous administration. We, also co-ordinate the "Torch Run" for the Special Olympics for MN Good Sam. Thanks for your support, Damian & Marilyn Grabish
Please remember to bring along items for the local Food Shelf. This is a worthwhile cause, so please give generously to this special endeavor!!! Appreciation - A note of thanks was received from the Faribault Area Foodshelf for a donation of 310 Ibs. of food from the 2003 Fall Samboree at the Rice County Fairgrounds.
State Safety Co-ordinator Jim Anderson Safety Director: Jim says be sure you have a heavy enough cord for hooking up to electricity. There will be a "Security Watch" Wednesday thru Saturday; and these positions will be secured by Chapters at the April Presidents meeting. Please get your Chapter ideas as to what jobs you would like your Chapters to do at the Samborees! Watch your step!! |
Sing a Song of winter
Sing a song of snowflakes,
Floating from the sky.
Sing a song of icicles,
Glistening up high.
Sing a song of Christmas,
Let your spirits fly!
Sing a song of winter,
And a new year, by and by.
